Baby Super Powers

Good morning, everyone! As I'm getting ready for work, I decided it might be great for me to start leaving little messages. I was remembering something happened about a year and a half ago. Somebody asked me what superpower I would want if I were to have any superpower. I've been asked this question before. I work with kids, and they love superpowers, so it's come up before. But this time, my mind instantly lit up and I knew exactly what superpower I wanted. When I told them they all laughed, but that's okay (I love providing humor too!). The superpower I wanted was to see everyone as babies.

I know, it does sound funny, but if you think about it, what an amazing superpower that would be! I'm working so that I can develop and have this superpower. If you consider an infant, you see all their potential, you see all the possibilities open for them.

Well, guess what? That doesn't change. Any person you look at, whether it’s someone on the street, someone who's successful, someone who has addictions, they all have potential, they are one choice away. One decision away from developing their potential, becoming who they want to be. Any way you look at it, that potential is there for everybody. We might look at situations and we might look at all those things and think that they would define us, or they would limit us, but who we truly are inside is unlimited.

Despite all those outside forces, nobody has the power to take away who we are. We can become whoever we want to be. We're just one decision away from that. Imagine if we can teach our children that who we want to be is an important decision. It's a decision that requires thinking, because sometimes we don't think about it. Sometimes we haphazardly go through life or feel pressured from outside things. We don't really stop and look and consider who we want to become, who we want to be. We're just that one decision away.

If we can see everyone as babies (at least, my image of how people see babies), then how amazing would that be?
